Perspective

What is perspective? Simply, perspective is the way you look at things. There are many different ways in looking at things. When your partner or someone close is going abroad for a few months or years, how do you look at this situation? Some people may look at this as something sad, as they will be apart for a long time, not able to meet each other, distanced relationship seems hard to maintain, and so on. However, some may look at this positively, they treat this as a test for their relationship, they felt happy for their closed one as this is a good exposure and prospective for their closed one, and they provide support to their closed one. This is the different ways of looking at a same situation, in other words, a different perspective.

When you lose your job, how do you know that it is a bad thing? Is losing your job the end of the world? No, of course!! If you think positively, losing a job means you get a chance for a better job. If you don’t lose your job, you don’t even have a chance for a change, thus there won’t even be a chance for improvement. As the chinese saying goes: 塞翁失马,焉知非福. Meaning the old man loses his horse, how does he know that it is not a blessing? Thus, always look at things positively. Happy or sad, you still have to live with it, as this is your life, then why not we choose to live happily? The choice is all yours!

Money

What is money??? Why does everyone looking for money, and why is money so important? Money is a medium of exchange in the form of coins and banknotes. With money, we can have lots of things, for instance, we can buy a house, a car, enjoy good food, enjoy life, help others who is in need, etc.

But why everyone is looking at money so importantly??? Everyone is working so hard day and night, 5 days a week, overtime during the weekend, for what? Definitely it's for money!!! Because without money, you will not have the extras to enjoy, and some people work hard just to make ends meet. Thus, work hard for money everyday seems to be the right thing to do.

However, some people neglected their family, their significant half, and their friends, just to work hard for more and more money. Is money so important that family, partners, and friends can be ignored? Is money everything? Can we buy family with money? The answer is no! We could use money to buy a house, but not home! We could use money to buy a clock, but not time! Money isn't everything! No doubt that money is important, but it doesn't represent everything.

Thus equilibrium is of utmost important. We must work hard to earn more money, but not to neglect our families as well. It is not easy to achieve such balance though, as many people tend to work too hard for money and sometimes it's too late for us to appreciate our family. So, remember! Money is not everything! Appreciate your family while you still can!

Baby's cooking at our house~~~

It was Saturday, when we planned to have our own meal in our own house. Since we had outside food almost everyday, and we were sick of thinking where to eat, cooking at home is the best solution after all. Days before, we had our shopping spree at a few nearby shopping centers, for seasonings, various kind of veges, meats, eggs, etc.

Walla~~~ Here's the home cooked food from us. This is among the 1st few meal in our house. We had the "steam 3-flavoured eggs 三味蛋" which consists of century egg, salted duck egg, and chicken egg. Next is the "Seaweed soup 紫菜汤" which consists of seaweed, various type of fishballs, and sausage. The third one is the "fried cabbage with carrot" which consists of small prawns fried with sauteed cabbage and carrot.

This is the "before and after" photo. Eating halfway, then only we found out that the 3 dishes were enough for 4 person... :S So there goes to the fridge, and we had the same 3 dishes on the next day... :p

Although it is just a simple meal, but we enjoyed it a lot. We had fun planning on what to cook, enjoyed cooking together in the kitchen, criticizing the taste of the food, and hoping to improve our skills later on.
